Marine Automated Dock Systems, Inc. manufactures all our docks in Harrison, Michigan. Standard dock lengths are 8 ft, 10 ft. and 16 ft. with the dock widths of 2,3,4,5,6 ft, and 8 ft. MADS is the manufacturer, we can build any custom sizes the customer is looking for. Decking options are 5/4 Wood, Aluminum, Sure-Step, and Azek Vinyl. The Sure-step decking has a non-slip surface with the choice of two colors (gray or tan). Our most popular is the AZEK vinyl with multiple color choices.
The dock aluminum frame has three full stringers per dock section in 3 and 4 ft. sections. This is a full aluminum tube 5.5 ” x 1.0” x .10” with .25” welded aluminum end plates. We have gone so far in the design of the aluminum extrusions to have our dock stringers function with two additional slide rail extrusions built in the dock stringer. Any changes to dock formations can be done without drilling holds or welding side brackets. Simply slide the dock accessory out of the frame and slide in a new accessory that you may want to add. All chairs, brackets and steps are attached this way. Feel free to move them around anytime to a new dock location. The extrusion also ties both aluminum stringer walls together at two locations inside the aluminum dock stringer. There is not a stronger marine aluminum frame on the market and with the addition of Vinyl or Grate Decking, the docking manufactured by MADS is clearly top of the line in the docking industry. Check out Dock System Features on the web site under construction tab. You can see the difference in the way the Elite frame is built.
MADS also manufactures an economy line of dock frames. All decking options are available. The outside of the aluminum frame is a standard F formation and center support is 1.5 x 1.5 aluminum tube. You will notice the difference between the economy frame and the MADS Elite frame with the Patented Quick Connect Latching System. The economy line is manufactured to compete with other manufactures top of the line frames. As the saying goes, "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR."
